The Yarrow pouch from Noodlehead is a zipper pouch in 2 sizes: a small wallet, or as a more spacious wristlet. The curved zipper is not only the eye-catcher, but also makes it easy to reach everywhere!

The Yarrow is a small project, ideal as a in-between project. But don't be misguided, the curve of the zipper makes it less suitable for absolute beginners. Do you already have some experience with "regular" zipper bags? Then this is the extra challenge you're looking for!

Dimensions:

  • Pouch: 14 wide x 2.5 deep x 10.2 cm high

  • Wristlet: 22.2 wide x 2.5 deep x 12.9 cm high

Supplies:

  • Fabric: Provide approximately 25cm of fabric for both outside and inside.

  • Zipper: 20.3cm zipper (by the yard) for the small version, 30.2cm + 10.2cm (inner pocket) for the large version

  • Interfacing:

    • Depending on the fabrics chosen - in case of a lightweight or medium outer fabric, you can reinforce with a firm or mid weight adhesive cotton (e.g. Vefix or G700, SF101).

    • For the wristlet e.g. ronar fix is also ideal to keep the shape.

  • For the wristlet: D-ring and musketon of 12 or 15mm, possibly leather strap.

Attention!

This pattern consists of a paper booklet with an English manual (and therefore also dimensions in inches - converting to metric measures is very simple: 1 inch = 2.5 cm, 1 yard = 92cm) and does require some knowledge of English sewing terms (or readiness for a little preparatory research). The manual itself is richly illustrated with drawings at each step, so don't be scared off.
Only the non-rectangular pattern parts are supplied on paper, the other pattern parts you draw yourself or cut out directly using the supplied cutting labels!
